First Semester
SY 2010-2011
(June 7-Oct. 2, 2011)

Eligibility For all applicants
• Possesion of an undergraduate degree
• All MA and MDiv students, including first year
students, who have enrolled in at least 9 hours of
course load per semester (including research and writing)
• Intention to finish an MA or an MDiv degree
program at ATS
• Commitment to full time ministry
• Endorsement of sending church/organization
• Willingness to comply with the requirements of
ATS and its scholarship donors
• Completion of at least 9 units
(no incomplete grades or failing grades and no
dropped courses)
• A grade point average (G.P.A.) of 1.75
Application period
• Applicants may apply for scholarship on the
following dates:
• For the First Semester:
Begins on the second Monday of January
and ends on the last Friday of March
• Second Semester:
Begins on the second Monday of June and ends
on the last Friday of August
• Scholarship recipients must apply for the
renewal of their scholarship grant annually.
Criteria
• All scholarships, except for a few non-need based
scholarship, are set to an income/need grid using
the base rate for the given year.
• Special programs determine scholarship grants
based on their own approved scholarship
guidelines.
Requirements
1. Report monthly income and expenses, onetime
donations, regular donations, etc. thoroughly and with all honesty.
2. Maintain Christian integrity and character.
3. Meet with the scholarship chairperson twice a
semester.
4. Work as student assistant.
5. Pay back the total amount spent for tuition
(including dropping fee) to ATS for all courses
dropped, or in the event that the scholarship
recipient will no longer continue studying, for
all courses taken.
6. Write a thank you letter/report/testimony at
the end of the semester.
7. Submit four passport size (2” x 2”) pictures.
8. Submit an accounting of the book allowance
at the end of the semester (for recipients of
book allowance).
9. Comply with the specific requirements of
donors.
Types of scholarship
• Tuition
• Living Allowance (only for recipients whose
donors desire to give a stipend)
