A Note of thanks from the chair of the 5th ATS Theological Forum

February 20th, 2009

A few weeks before the start of the Forum, a fellow faculty member expressed the opinion that perhaps there may be lesser participants this year because one (1), the theme is not as attractive as last year’s (poverty) and two (2), we will feel the effect of the economic recession.

God, however, had a different opinion.  The theme, as expressed by many participants was timely and urgent.  The economic difficulty did not prevent 772 participants to come.  Thus we praise the Lord, for another successful holding of the Annual ATS Theological Forum.

As we praise God for His guidance and provision, we would like to thank you for your participation in and support to this forum.   Thank you for believing that this forum is of God and it’s worth your support and investment.

Many testify of the topnotch quality of the plenary speakers and the enlightening topics of the breakout sessions.  They also appreciated the fine organization of the event.

Let’s hear it directly from some of the forum participants.

From a pastor and ATS student:

“It’s my first time to have attended such an affair and I was blessed exceedingly and all got fired up with a burning passion to do something for the preservation of the environment.”

From a manager of a Christian NGO working among restricted countries:

“Congratulations….my churchmate and I really had a grandtime.  It was a time of shaping our theological minds….We will attend next year’s forum.”

From an editor of a Christian publishing company:

“Our Editorial Department…attended both days expecting to learn much from the plenary and breakout sessions.  We were not disappointed.  We, in fact, deepened our resolve to do our part as publisher in educating the evangelical community on caring for God’s creation.”

Without the support of our partners, sponsors, donors, the plenary and seminar speakers, the ATS community and all the participants these could not have happened.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH AND GOD BLESS YOU.

Soli Deo Gloria.

Chair, 5th Annual ATS Theological Forum Organizing Committee
