Ministry Conference 2027—Call for Presentations

Does your church have a ministry that intentionally serves its surrounding community? This is your opportunity to share your story.

We invite churches, ministry leaders, and practitioners across the Philippines and the wider Asian region to present their experiences, insights, and challenges in engaging the neighborhood as an expression of faithful witness.

What We Are Looking For

Presentations should reflect on real-life ministry contexts, including:

  • The vision behind your ministry, and how it has developed
  • Practical approaches and strategies you have used
  • Lessons learned and ongoing challenges
  • The impact on your church and the community
  • Biblical and theological foundations and insights that shape and sustain your ministr

Suggested Topics

The following are the suggested topics for this conference. Submissions on related topics are also welcome, but priority will be given to proposals addressing one or more of these areas:

  1. Ministry with Vulnerable and Marginalized Sectors
  2. Poverty Alleviation and Livelihood Projects
  3. Physical Health, Mental Health, and Holistic Care
  4. Family, Youth, and Education
  5. Disaster Response and Community Resilience
  6. Creation Care and Environmental Stewardship
  7. Rural Development
  8. Marketplace Ministries
  9. Partnerships and Collaboration (LGU, NGOs, Faith-Based Organizations)

Format and Length

Each presentation will be 20 minutes long, followed by a brief interaction with participants. Plenary sessions will be in English. Breakout sessions may be in English or Filipino.

Presentations may be delivered individually or by a team of up to four (one primary presenter and up to three co-presenters).

Submissions open: May 22, 2026

Submission deadline: July 31, 2026

Review period: August 1 – August 31, 2026

Notification of acceptance: First week of September 2026

Conference: March 5–6, 2027

Things to Know Before You Submit

  • Each proposal will be read carefully by a review committee made up of pastors, scholars, and ministry practitioners. We will write to you in the first week of September 2026 with the outcome.
  • The conference does not provide honorarium, registration support, or travel assistance for presenters.
  • Presenters are responsible for obtaining all necessary permissions and consent from any individuals, families, or organizations whose stories they share.
  • Selected presentations and papers may be considered for publication in an edited volume, with details to be discussed if your proposal is accepted.
  • We especially welcome submissions from outside Metro Manila and from across the Asian region.

Before You Submit Your Proposal

This form is how we will know what you plan to present. Your responses give the review committee a clear picture of your topic, your context, and the content of your presentation.

To make filling out the form easier, we recommend drafting your responses in a separate document first, then pasting them into the form when you are ready.

Below are all the questions the form will ask, so you can prepare in advance.

About You and Your Ministry

  • Primary presenter’s name, email, and mobile number
  • Name and location of your church or organization
  • Whether you have co-presenters (up to three), with their names, roles, emails, and affiliations

Your Neighborhood and Ministry Context

  • Proposed title of your presentation
  • Primary topic cluster (chosen from a list of nine)
  • A short description of the neighborhood or community your church or ministry serves
  • The vision behind your ministry, and how it has developed

Content of Your Presentation

  1. What is the central message or insight you want participants to take away from your presentation?
  2. What practical approaches and strategies will you describe, and which of them have proven most fruitful in your context?
  3. What lessons have you learned along the way, including approaches that did not bear fruit?
  4. What ongoing challenges will you raise for the participants to consider with you?
  5. What impact has this ministry had on both your church and the community you serve?
  6. What biblical and theological foundations will you draw on, and how will you bring them into the presentation?

Preparing Your Presentation

  • A short note on how you will gather your information and whose permission or consent you will need to obtain

Logistics and Consent

  • Language of presentation (English, Filipino, or a mix)
  • Whether you are authorized to speak on behalf of your church or organization
  • Acknowledgment of the conference terms
  • How you heard about the conference (optional)
