ATS EXTENSION PROGRAMS FAQs

What is ATS Extension Program?
It is a certificate program of Asian Theological Seminary which is designed to meet the training
needs of pastors and church leaders within their own location at the quickest possible time and at
an economical cost.
What is the minimum academic requirement for participants?
-no formal degree is necessary so long as the participant is able to read and write.
What kind of certificate programs do you offer in AEP?

How many modules are there in each program?
There are 10 modules designed with core and elective.

Are there module requirements for AEP students from the professor?
Since this is a certificate program, they will not be required to submit requirements.

How long does each module run?
Each module runs for 16 hours. It can be 2 consecutive days of 8 hours a day or 2 Saturdays for
8 hours each day.

How much is the cost of each module?
The module fee is P22,000.00. which will be divided among the participants. The fee is paid
directly to the Asian Theological Seminary bank account. (Please refer to the bank account numbers
of ATS)

Who will facilitate the enrollment?
The enrollment will be facilitated by the partner center. They must collect the payment from
each participant. Attendance must just be turned over to the professor at the end of the module.


Who will be the faculty?
The faculty will be from Asian Theological Seminary. They are also graduates of ATS and some
are already teaching on campus.


Who will select and coordinate with the faculty?
ATS SLDC will select and coordinate with the faculty who will teach for each module.


What are the responsibilities of the partner center and SLDC?

Responsibilities of ATS SLDC:

  1. Provide the course content and curriculum of the Module the partner chose to take.
  2. Implement the program
    -coordinate teachers and schedule with the partner
    -Provide the participants’ course module materials to be reproduced by the partner center.
    -Pay the honoraria and reimburse transportation expenses of faculty teaching the module


Responsibilities of ATS Extension Program Partner

  • Assign a coordinator for the CPM program who will coordinate with ATS Extension program
    the specific course module schedule and venue.
  • Responsible for providing students including recruitment, identification and selection of
    students for the certificate programs.
  • Provide the student list at the end of CPM course module.
    -Responsible for informing the students of their corresponding CPM course module schedule and
    other related communication.
  • Responsible for the payment to ATS of twenty two thousand pesos (P22,000) for every CPM
    module course due on or before the start of the first module class.
    -Responsible for reproducing the materials that professors will provide.
    -Provide the venue for the class and other logistics such as LCD projector, meals for faculty, and
    accommodation, when necessary.


What is the maximum number of students?
-The maximum number of students is 40 per module class. An additional module fee of Php10,000.
will be charged above 40 up to a ceiling of 50 students. The minimum number is 10.


Who shoulders the accommodation, food and other expenses of the faculty?
SLDC pays the honoraria and reimburse transportation expenses of faculty teaching the module,
while the partner center is responsible for the meals of the faculty, and accommodation, when
necessary.


Who shoulders the air-fare ticket of the faculty?
Air-fare ticket is shouldered by the partner center, only the transport expenses from house to
airport and airport to the house are reimbursed by SLDC.


How long will they finish the entire program? Minimum and maximum.
The program can be finished in 1 year considering they hold module monthly. The program
must be finished in a maximum of 3 years.


Can the certificate be used in applying for ATS programs at ATS?
No. The certificate acquired cannot be credited to any residential programs at ATS but it can be
basic learning and preparatory for the programs in case they will enroll. This is considering
they have qualified for admission.


Who keeps track of the records of participants?
The partner center and SLDC both have records of the attendance of the participants. At the end
of each module, the coordinator of the partner center should provide the professor a copy of the
attendance to be turned over to SLDC.


Where will they graduate?
They have the option as to where to graduate. They can graduate at ATS Chapel or at their center.


Are they considered ATS students and when they graduate, are they considered alumni?
They are considered ATS Certificate program students and ATS Certificate program alumni.


Can CCS students apply as ATS residential students?
Yes. This is considering they have qualified for admission.


How can we qualify as a partner center?
A group of pastors, leaders, ministry workers (minimum of 10 participants)
Requirements to be submitted by the partner center:
• Intent to apply for the ATS Extension program
• Certificate program that you would like to take
• The name of the partner center and coordinator of the center
• Address of the center/ venue of training


Do you have a scholarship for AEP?
We do not have scholarships offered. We suggest that you may try the options for asking
sponsors from your denomination (if there’s any).
