ATS Celebrates Missions Week Chapel with Joyful Community Gathering

Asian Theological Seminary (ATS) joyfully celebrated Missions Week through a Chapel Service that brought together worship, learning, and fellowship under the theme “Missions Mobilization.” The event was highlighted by an inspiring message from Dr. Jun Escosar, a respected leader and voice in global missions.

In his message, Dr. Escosar offered important paradigm shifts in missions, challenging the ATS community to rethink and renew its understanding of God’s mission in a rapidly changing world. His insights encouraged students, faculty, and staff to move beyond traditional frameworks and to embrace a more holistic and responsive approach to mission engagement.

Following the chapel service, the celebration continued with a time of fellowship and community building. Participants enjoyed snacks, games, and fun activities, with many receiving small prizes and tokens that added to the joyful atmosphere of the event.

The Missions Week gathering also featured several partner booths, including Open Doors, Mission Ministries Philippines, and the Philippine Bible Society (PBS). PBS offered discounted Bibles, providing the ATS community an opportunity to purchase Scripture resources at discounted rates.

This meaningful and festive event was organized by the Intercultural Urban Studies Department, under the leadership of Dr. Juliet Uytanlet. Through this celebration, ATS was reminded once again of its calling to be formed, mobilized, and sent for God’s mission—locally and globally.
